Fragrance oils are not the same as essential oils. Fragrance oils are synthetic and synthetic fragrance are on our list of questionable ingredients. As a service to all of our customers, we feel that we should notify you when any of our products contain a questionable ingredient.

Why are we using a questionable ingredient?

Due to the number of requests by our Agents and Customers, we are offering a few scent choices that contain a fragrance oil.

What is the concern?

The largest concern with fragrance oils is in the use of phthalates. Phthalates have been linked to reproductive problems, early puberty in girls and breast cancer.

The fragrance oil scents we offer are proven to be phthalate free.  Phthalates are NOT in the fragrance oils Encoura offers. 

If you have any concerns about using a phthalate free fragrance oil, please consider our products that use essential oils to scent or no scent at all.
